Police in Guria Detain Three People on Charges of Illegal Crossing of Georgia’s State Border
Employees of the Lanchkhuti District Division of the Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained three individuals on charges of group illegal crossing of Georgia’s state border. The information was released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
“The investigation established that citizens of the Republic of Turkey — S.I., born in 1983, K.K., born in 2006, and S.K., born in 1986 — bypassed the border checkpoint and illegally crossed Georgia’s state border as a group from the territory of the Republic of Turkey.
The investigation is being conducted under Part 2 of Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for up to five years of imprisonment,” the statement says.
