Police seized an especially large batch in Tbilisi — 297 packets of narcotic substances and 491 tablets of psychotropic substances
Officers of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, on charges of illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic and psychotropic substances in large and especially large quantities, as well as facilitating their illegal sale, detained citizen B.A., born in 1991.
During a personal search and a search of the detainee’s residence in the settlement of Ponichala, conducted in connection with drug-related charges, an especially large batch was seized as material evidence — 297 packets of narcotic substances packaged and prepared for sale, as well as 491 tablets of psychotropic substances.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260, 260¹, and 261 of the Criminal Code, which provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
