The court has chosen pre-trial detention as a measure of restraint for Paata Burchuladze, Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Paata Mandjgaladze, and Lasha Beridze.

Paata Burchuladze, Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Paata Mandjgaladze, and Lasha Beridze are accused of organizing and leading group violence, attempting to seize a strategically and particularly important facility, and calling for the violent overthrow of Georgia’s constitutional order and state authority.

The defendants face up to nine years in prison.

The preliminary court hearing in the case will be held on November 26.
