Migration Department employees deported 27 foreign citizens from Georgia
The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, in close coordination with the ministry’s relevant divisions, carried out the deportation of 27 foreign citizens from the country, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reported.
“As a result of complex measures conducted in recent days, citizens of India, Iraq, Egypt, Bangladesh, China, Cameroon, Azerbaijan, Angola, Ghana, Pakistan, and Turkey — a total of 27 people — were expelled from the country. In accordance with current legislation, they have been banned from entering Georgia.
The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its functions is to identify foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal grounds and to ensure their deportation,” the ministry’s statement says.
