Visit of the President of Skytrax – Another International Audit of Service Quality Conducted at Tbilisi International Airport

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, the world’s most influential and prestigious aviation consulting organization, has visited Tbilisi International Airport for the fourth time as part of the company’s annual airport service and quality assessment program. During the visit, he personally reviewed the projects implemented over the past year and received detailed information from TAV Georgia’s management regarding the completed and upcoming development initiatives.

On 13–14 October, as part of the Skytrax audit conducted at Tbilisi International Airport, the assessment covered key performance areas including service quality, infrastructure, passenger experience, and other essential components that constitute the organization’s internationally recognized standards.

Founded in the United Kingdom, Skytrax is a globally renowned consultancy specializing in the evaluation of service quality within the aviation industry. The audits and certifications carried out by Skytrax are considered among the most authoritative assessments worldwide.

For several consecutive years, both Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, managed by TAV Georgia, have consistently ranked among the top ten airports in Eastern Europe in the Skytrax ratings. This recognition reflects the airports’ continuous improvement in service quality and operational excellence, underscoring the strategic importance of the infrastructure development projects implemented to enhance the overall passenger experience and airport performance.
