According to the Roads Department of Georgia, traffic for light vehicles has been restored on the Gudauri – Kobi section of the international highway Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars.

The same source states that the movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers on this section is temporarily prohibited.

"According to the National Environmental Agency, traffic on the Mleta–Gudauri, Gudauri – Kobi, and Stepantsminda–Lars sections is allowed in continuous transit mode. On the Gudauri – Kobi section, vehicle movement is permitted only through avalanche protection tunnels," the Roads Department of Georgia reported.
