The National Food Agency of Georgia has suspended the activities of a dairy-product manufacturing enterprise — “a critical non-compliance was identified”
Inspectors from the Tbilisi Department of the National Food Agency inspected a facility owned by LLC Veli (address: 17 Barbare Eristavi-Djordjadze Street), which was producing and distributing (mainly to bakeries) milk-containing products (curd-like and sour-cream-like products) without the agency’s required authorization. The information was released by the National Food Agency of Georgia.
According to the agency, the inspection also revealed a critical non-compliance — a violation of hygiene standards. As a result, the business operator was fined, and the production process was suspended until the agency’s authorization is obtained and all violations are eliminated.
“The National Food Agency continues to monitor production facilities and retail outlets.
The agency calls on consumers to report any violations through the hotline.
Active public participation will enable the National Food Agency to eliminate non-compliances in a timely manner,” the agency stated.
