Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency: Educational Process Suspended at Seven Kindergartens to Prevent Epidemiological Risks, 183 Continue to Operate
The Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency has issued a statement regarding cases of intoxication at kindergartens.
According to the Kindergarten Management Agency, the educational process has been suspended at seven kindergartens in Tbilisi as a precaution against epidemiological risks, while the remaining 183 kindergartens continue to operate.
“Children enrolled at several public kindergartens in Tbilisi were found to have elevated temperatures, and in some cases, nausea and vomiting. They sought medical attention at various clinics.
On the recommendation of epidemiologists and in accordance with the legislation, the educational process was suspended at seven public kindergartens as a precaution against epidemiological risks, while the remaining 183 kindergartens continue to operate.
The Agency, in coordination with all relevant agencies, including the Tbilisi Epidemiological Surveillance Service, the National Food Agency, the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, and the National Center for Disease Control, is carrying out all necessary measures,” the statement said.
It should be noted that the Investigation Service has launched an investigation into cases of intoxication at 20 kindergartens in Tbilisi.
