A Georgian citizen, illegally detained on January 21 near the occupied village of Tsinagara, has been released, the State Security Service of Georgia reports.
According to the agency, the illegally detained Georgian citizen is now on territory controlled by the central government.
“The Georgian citizen, illegally detained on January 21 near the occupied village of Tsinagara, has been released and is on territory controlled by the central government.
The State Security Service thanks all parties involved in the process for their attention to the detainee’s condition, consideration of his interests, and prompt response.
The central government of Georgia and the State Security Service continue active work to free all Georgian citizens who are illegally held in the occupied territories,” the SSG statement says.
