Officers of the Marneuli District Division of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye — M.I., born in 1986 — who was wanted by Interpol under a Red Notice. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.

“The detainee has been wanted by the Republic of Türkiye since December 2025 on charges of intentional murder.

As a result of investigative measures, law enforcement officers detained M.I. in Marneuli.

Legal extradition procedures are currently underway for the detainee,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia stated.
