Starting from the New Year, salaries of administrative staff of public schools, school doctors, and mandate service employees will increase in Georgia

The funding of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, in the final version of the 2026 budget, has increased by almost 90 million lari compared to the initial draft and now exceeds 2 billion 700 million lari.

More than 37 million lari has been additionally allocated for general education, bringing its total to 1 billion 923 million lari. Within the program, a 20% salary increase is planned for administrative staff of public schools, school doctors, and employees of the mandate service, instead of the previously planned 10%.

In the field of vocational education, more than 4 million lari has been additionally allocated, and 10 million lari has been directed toward infrastructure improvements. As a result, the total budget of the program exceeds 229 million lari.

Funding for inclusive education has increased by 8 million 500 thousand lari and now exceeds 101 million lari.

Funding for youth support programs has increased by almost 6 million lari and now exceeds 21 million 500 thousand lari.

Regarding infrastructure, an additional 4 million lari has been allocated for minor renovation works in higher education institutions, and 18 million lari has been directed toward the infrastructure of public schools.
