Officers of the Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on suspicion of theft. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the incident.

“The investigation established that the accused had secretly entered several residential apartments in Tbilisi’s Saburtalo district on different occasions and unlawfully taken various valuable items.

As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested the individual responsible for the crimes and charged him.

During searches, police seized some of the stolen items as evidence. Law enforcement officers also seized tools used to commit the crimes.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 177 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a penalty of up to seven years’ imprisonment,” the statement said.
