Liverpool will pay the family of the late forward Diogo Jota the full remaining amount he was due under his two-year contract with the club, according to Record.

On Thursday, it was reported that Jota and his brother André Silva died in a car accident in northwestern Spain.

Earlier, the English club permanently retired the number 20 shirt, which Jota wore during his time with the team.

Jota was 28 years old. He was a two-time UEFA Nations League winner with the Portuguese national team, a Premier League champion, and a domestic cup winner with Liverpool. The footballer will be buried on July 5 near Porto.
