Head of Georgia’s State Security Service meets with Head of Azerbaijan’s State Security Service
The Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Mamuka Mdinaradze, hosted the Head of the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Nagiyev, who was on an official visit to Tbilisi.
According to the State Security Service, during the meeting the parties discussed the main directions of strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as future initiatives aimed at further strengthening close cooperation in the field of security.
It was noted that both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration in the areas of information exchange and experience sharing between the respective agencies. It was also stated that the cooperation between the security services of the two countries contributes to strengthening relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan and plays an important role in promoting peace and stability in the region. In addition, the parties discussed current regional developments and challenges.
Mamuka Mdinaradze thanked Ali Nagiyev for visiting Georgia and highlighted the significance of his visit.
The meeting, held at the State Security Service of Georgia, was attended by deputy heads of the Georgian and Azerbaijani State Security Services, as well as heads of various structural divisions from both sides.
Following the meeting, Mamuka Mdinaradze and Ali Nagiyev laid wreaths at the memorial to the heroes who died fighting for Georgia’s territorial integrity and at the monument to Heydar Aliyev.
