Georgia's Population Increased by 200,000 Over 10 Years – Statistics Office

According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia, as of November 2024, the country’s population stood at 3,914,000 people. Of this number, 53% (2,078,000) were women and 47% (1,836,000) were men. The information was shared by the statistics office on its Facebook page.
According to the agency, and in line with international census practices, the population count includes all Georgian citizens who permanently reside in the country, as well as foreigners and stateless individuals who permanently live on the territory of Georgia.
According to the 2014 census, Georgia’s population was 3,713,804 people. Thus, over the past 10 years, the population has increased by 200,196.
The 2024 national census in Georgia was conducted from November 14 to December 31.
