French Ligue 1 Club Rennes Wants to Sign Zuriko Davitashvili

French Ligue 1 club Rennes is considering signing a contract with Zuriko Davitashvili — information about the Georgian forward from Saint-Étienne was reported by the popular French publication L’Équipe.
“Last season, Rennes finished in the middle of the league table, which was a disappointment for the club’s management. However, the team is set for significant changes in the new season. Several players will leave the club, as there are quite a few footballers in the Breton team who do not get much playing time.
At the same time, the club’s new sporting director, Loïc Désiré, is working on strengthening the squad. It is known that Rennes is aiming to acquire a winger, and Zuriko Davitashvili has been identified as one of the targets. Although the Georgian player was not always consistent throughout the season, he still ended the year productively: in Ligue 1 matches, he was involved in 17 goal-scoring actions, scoring 9 goals and providing 8 assists.
Saint-Étienne finished last season second from the bottom in the table and was relegated to Ligue 2. However, the club’s stable financial situation means that, unlike other relegated teams, they will not be forced to sell players.
According to reports, Turkish clubs are also interested in Davitashvili, but so far Saint-Étienne has not received any concrete offers,” the publication writes.
