17 Georgian Citizens Returned from an Israeli Deportation Center to Georgia

Seventeen Georgian citizens who were held in a deportation facility in Israel have returned to their homeland.

The Georgian side, in close coordination with the relevant Israeli authorities, ensured the safe return of Georgian citizens within the shortest possible time.

The Georgian Embassy in Israel continues to operate in emergency mode due to the current situation. A hotline has been established for Georgian citizens. To date, the embassy has provided consultations and necessary assistance to more than 500 Georgian citizens.

It is worth noting that Georgian citizens in Israel, if they wish, have the option to leave the country by land — either through the Israel-Jordan border crossing or the Israel-Egypt border crossing.

Citizens wishing to leave Israel by land must have a valid Georgian passport. In light of recent events, about 1,000 Georgian citizens have left Israel via land routes.
