A memorial service for the repose of the soul of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia, Ilia II, was held in Jerusalem. The service took place at the chapel on Golgotha, located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The service was conducted by Archimandrite Isidore. Along with photographs of the ceremony, the Jerusalem Patriarchate released a statement on social media.

“A Trisagion was performed on Golgotha for the repose of the soul and eternal rest of the Patriarch of Georgia, His Holiness Ilia II, by the senior guardian of the Edicule and rector of the Church of the Resurrection, His Eminence Archbishop Isidore of Hierapolis,” the statement said.
