The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia
The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi. This was reported by the Presidential Administration.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the existing partnership relations between Georgia and the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to prospects for deepening cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, transport connectivity, education, culture, and people-to-people contacts.
They also discussed the importance of connectivity between the Black Sea region and the Western Balkans, including the development of safe and reliable transit routes and economic corridors.
Mikheil Kavelashvili thanked Afrim Gashi for the Republic of North Macedonia’s consistent support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its non-recognition policy, and expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries will continue successfully in the future.
