“Tbilisi Silk Road Forum 2025” Opens in the capital of Georgia

The fifth Silk Road Forum opened in Tbilisi at the Opera and Ballet Theatre, according to the Ministry of Economy of Georgia.

The forum, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, on October 22–23, brings together high-ranking political figures, representatives of the business sector, and international organizations.

The opening panel — a high-level dialogue — features the heads of governments of regional countries: Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.

The “Tbilisi Silk Road Forum” has been held every two years since 2015. Over this time, the forum has developed into an international brand and a high-level platform for dialogue between governments of various countries, as well as for bilateral and multilateral meetings between representatives of organizations and businesses.

This year, the event will once again be representative and sectorally diverse, gathering global leaders — more than 2,300 delegates from over 70 countries. Among the participants are prime ministers and deputy prime ministers from the region, sectoral ministers from countries beyond the region, leading global companies and international experts, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and international organizations such as the UN, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), and others.

The “Tbilisi Silk Road Forum” is one of the best opportunities and an important discussion platform for deepening political, trade-economic, and cultural ties between Asia and Europe. It focuses on issues of international trade and economic relations, transport and logistics connections between Europe and Asia — including the role and further development of the “Middle Corridor” route — as well as new programs and projects across various sectors. The main theme and slogan of this year’s forum is “Invest in Connectivity – Grow in Stability.”

On October 22, seven panel discussions will take place, covering topics such as international trade, the Middle Corridor, energy, investment, innovation, and technology. In addition to the main panels, parallel events and discussions will focus on regional infrastructure projects, including the Anaklia Deep Sea Port and the Black Sea underwater cable projects — both energy and digital.

On October 23, the Tbilisi Financial Summit will be held as part of the forum. Alongside the main panels, various parallel events will also take place over the two days, including bilateral business meetings between representatives of companies from different industries.
