Mariam Kvrivishvili Appointed Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced a reshuffle in the Georgian government.

Minister of Economy and First Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili has been reassigned as Secretary of the Economic Council under the government and as the Prime Minister’s advisor on economic issues. Kobakhidze also stated that the functions of the council would be significantly expanded.

Mariam Kvrivishvili has been appointed Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development. She previously served as Deputy Minister of the same agency. Before that, she headed the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
