Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to Georgia, Hassan Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al-Mutawa. The information was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
According to the ministry, during the meeting the parties discussed the positive dynamics of cooperation between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral formats and emphasized the importance of high-level visits to further strengthen relations.
Special attention was given to the agenda of cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, and transport, with both sides highlighting the importance of signing a free trade agreement between the two countries.
The parties also positively assessed the existing cooperation in the field of tourism.
The meeting also touched upon issues of security in the region and the world. It was once again emphasized that Qatar supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Minister thanked the Qatari diplomat for productive cooperation and wished him success in his future endeavors.
