Irakli Kobakhidze: We Have the Right Course, the EU Must Correct the Course

“We have the right course; the course must be corrected by the European Union,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to journalists.

According to the Prime Minister, it is the European bureaucracy that should adjust the course to prevent problems that it creates entirely artificially for the European Union.

“I don’t know where the European bureaucracy is taking the EU. We are talking, among other things, about the economy: in 2008, the EU’s share of the global economy was 30%, now it has fallen to 17.5%. The data for 2025 will be even lower.

It is the European bureaucracy that must correct the course to avoid problems that it creates entirely artificially for the EU. We already have a set course; we know our goal.

One of our main foreign policy priorities is European integration. Our course is set, but so far, the European bureaucracy has not been able to correct it,” the Georgian Prime Minister noted.
