Irakli Kobakhidze Meets with the President of Kazakhstan

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

At the meeting, held within the framework of the international forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and hosted in Turkmenistan, the sides discussed the existing political and economic ties between the two countries, as well as successful cooperation in various fields.

Irakli Kobakhidze reaffirmed to the President of Kazakhstan Georgia’s readiness to further deepen bilateral relations.

“We attach special importance to cooperation among the countries of our region. Economic cooperation is also of particular significance. The close relations between our countries have great potential, and it is in our interest to make full use of this significant potential. You pay special attention to these issues, and this is reflected in the cooperation between our countries,” noted Irakli Kobakhidze.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the prospects for the further development of bilateral relations.

“We greatly value Georgia and consider it a very important partner for us in many areas. Georgia is a partner with vast prospects and has substantial potential in the fields of transport and logistics. This very sector is the driving force today and has a strong impact on other industries.
