Georgia’s Prime Minister meets Speaker of Turkmenistan’s Mejlis
Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova.
During the meeting held at the Government Administration, the sides discussed relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan, as well as prospects for cooperation.
The importance of the Chairwoman’s first official visit to Georgia for the further development of bilateral ties was highlighted.
The parties reviewed existing political and economic relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan. Positive dynamics in trade were emphasized, along with the two countries’ partnership in transit, logistics, and energy sectors.
They also discussed active cooperation between the countries in developing the “Middle Corridor.”
The meeting was attended by Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, and Georgia’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan Konstantine Sabiashvili.
