Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze Arrives in Kazakhstan on an Official Visit

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has arrived in the Republic of Kazakhstan on an official visit.

The Head of the Georgian Government was welcomed at Astana International Airport by Kazakhstan's Minister of Transport, Nurlan Sauranbayev.

An official welcoming ceremony for the Georgian Prime Minister will take place today at the Palace of Independence in Astana. Irakli Kobakhidze will be hosted by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two leaders are scheduled to hold both one-on-one and expanded-format meetings. Following the talks, the relevant government agencies of the two countries will sign cooperation agreements in various fields.

As part of the official visit, the Georgian Prime Minister will also meet with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov. Members of the cabinets of both countries will participate in the meeting.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in Kazakhstan accompanied by an official delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songulashvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
