On January 12, 2026, as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week (ADSW) summit, Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Bochorishvili, met with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Saed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri. This was reported by the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the ministers emphasized the friendly and partnership relations between Georgia and the UAE. They also discussed cooperation in the field of investments, deepening of trade and economic ties between the countries, and the importance of the Middle Corridor.

The ministers positively assessed the dynamics of high-level visit exchanges, with particular attention given to the visit of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Georgia.

Among the topics discussed were regional and global security issues and current challenges. The ministers highlighted the importance of joint efforts in this area.

The parties once again confirmed their readiness to continue and further strengthen productive cooperation between the two countries.
