A road traffic accident occurred on the Tbilisi–Kakheti highway.

According to available information, a truck and a passenger car collided. As a result of the accident, two people were killed and one person was injured. After the collision, the car caught fire.

Law enforcement officers and emergency medical teams were mobilized at the scene.

An investigation has been launched under Parts 2 and 8 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code, which concerns violations of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules. The penalty предусматривает imprisonment for a term of six to ten years.
