Two Individuals Wanted for Group Violence Against a Police Officer Detained in Georgia
Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have detained L.Ch. (born 2006) and D.S. (born 1997) on charges of committing group violence against a police officer, the Ministry reported.
“During the investigation, it was established that on January 27 of this year, in a restaurant in Ozurgeti, the accused carried out group violence against a police officer following a conflict.
Police quickly detained the Chairman of the Chokhatauri Sakrebulo, Davit Sharashidze, who participated in the group violence, at the scene, while the other two participants fled.
As a result of operational-search and investigative measures in the criminal case, L.Ch. and D.S. were detained in Tbilisi on January 31 as suspects.
The investigation is being conducted under subparagraph ‘b’ of Article 126¹, Part One, of the Criminal Code of Georgia,” the report stated.
