The former Prime Minister of Georgia, Garibashvili, has been charged

The former Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, has been charged.

This was announced at a press conference by the Prosecutor General of Georgia, Giorgi Gvarakidze.

The prosecution is requesting bail in the amount of one million lari as a preventive measure.

The case concerns the legalization of illegal income on a particularly large scale.

As a reminder, on October 17, during a briefing held at the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze stated that searches had been conducted in the homes of Irakli Garibashvili, Grigol Liluashvili, Otari Partskhaladze, and eight other individuals connected with them.

Various electronic devices, documents, and a large sum of money were seized.
