"Rain, Snow, Strong Winds" – Weather Forecast in Georgia for April 8–11

The National Environmental Agency of Georgia has released the weather forecast for the coming days.

According to the agency, from April 8 to 11, Georgia is expected to experience rain—locally heavy—snow in the mountainous regions, strong westerly winds, and a 4–5 magnitude storm at sea.

The expected heavy precipitation may lead to a significant rise in river water levels, as well as flooding of small rivers. In the high mountainous areas of the country, there is a risk of avalanches, while in hilly and mountainous zones, landslide and mudflow processes may form and become active (threat level: medium).
