Officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained two citizens of the Republic of Türkiye in Batumi on charges of illegally purchasing and possessing a psychotropic substance in large and especially large quantities: O.T., born in 1986, and M.G., born in 1999. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

“During a personal search of the defendants, as well as a search of their residential apartment, law enforcement officers seized the psychotropic substance ‘pregabalin’ in an especially large quantity.

The investigation is being conducted under subparagraph ‘a’ of parts 2 and 3 of Article 261 of the Criminal Code, which предусматривает наказание в виде лишения свободы на срок до 12 лет,” the statement said.
