Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs detains 6 members of an organized criminal group

Officers of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained six members of an organized criminal group, Tbilisi Police Department Director Vazha Siradze announced at a briefing.

“Law enforcement officers detained six members of an organized criminal group, including one leader. They committed thefts at grocery stores in Tbilisi and other regions, and by prior arrangement handed over the stolen goods to retail outlets. Among those detained are also traders who accepted the stolen items for resale. Two of the detainees are minors,” Siradze said.
