National Wine Agency: Georgia to record the highest grape harvest in 30 years in 2025

As of October 23, 330,000 tons of grapes have been processed in Georgia’s winemaking regions, which already indicates that 2025 will see the highest, record-breaking harvest in the past 30 years. Across the country, 21,200 grape growers have delivered their harvest.

In Kakheti, nearly 323,000 tons of grapes have been processed. Of this amount, about 170,000 tons are of the Rkatsiteli variety, around 134,000 tons are Saperavi, and the rest are other grape varieties.

At present, active harvesting continues in the Sagarejo municipality.

Grape harvesting is also underway in one of Georgia’s other major winemaking regions — Lechkhumi. In the Tsageri municipality, locals are delivering grapes to wine companies without any delays. According to available data, companies have received about 112 tons of grapes. Forecasts suggest that this year’s harvest in Tsageri will amount to approximately 1,400 tons.
