Georgian wine was presented at the “Salon Savim TERRAVINI” wine and gastronomy festival held in France
With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organization of the agency’s contracted company “Le Pont Caucasien”, a presentation of Georgian wine took place in the city of Nice (France) as part of the “Salon Savim TERRAVINI” wine and gastronomy festival.
According to the National Wine Agency, visitors of the “Salon Savim TERRAVINI” festival had the opportunity to discover wines from five Georgian wine-producing companies and small wineries, featuring a variety of wine labels.
This festival is considered one of the leading wine and gastronomy events in France, attracting tens of thousands of wine industry professionals, HoReCa sector representatives, and consumers every year.
Georgian wine at the festival was presented by the oenologist working in France, head of the company “Le Pont Caucasien”, Ilia Kakhoidze.
In order to diversify markets and increase the export potential of Georgian wine, Georgian wine was also showcased in October at the “Arts & Vin” festival held in France.
One of the main areas of activity of the National Wine Agency is the promotion of Georgian wine and the enhancement of its recognition in international markets. Since 2013, the agency has been carrying out targeted advertising and marketing campaigns aimed at market diversification — including in well-known winemaking countries such as France, where demand for Georgian wine, especially qvevri wine, is constantly growing.
According to data from the first nine months of the current year, 111,000 bottles of wine were exported from Georgia to France — 71% more than during the same period last year.
To promote Georgian wine in France, the National Wine Agency has been cooperating with “Le Pont Caucasien” since 2015. Thanks to this company’s organization, presentations of Georgian wine are regularly held at a number of significant events in France.
