An earthquake occurred near Kamchatka. Authorities declared a tsunami warning.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 struck on September 13 off the eastern coast of Kamchatka, regional governor Vladimir Solodov reported.
According to the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the epicenter was located 123 kilometers east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky at a depth of 46.8 kilometers beneath the seabed, with a magnitude of 6.3.
Tremors measuring 4–6 on the intensity scale were felt in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, said the head of the Kamchatka Territory.
Authorities issued a tsunami warning. “We urge everyone to be especially cautious when visiting Khalaktyrsky Beach and other tsunami-prone areas,” Solodov wrote on his Telegram channel.
About two hours after the earthquake, the Kamchatka branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the tsunami warning had been lifted.
No reports of damage or casualties have been received.
