A military parade was held in Moscow
A military parade dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War was held on Red Square in Moscow. This was reported by Interfax.
The parade was reviewed by Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov. The parade was commanded by Commander-in-Chief of the Ground Forces Andrey Mordvichev.
Representatives of higher military educational institutions of the Russian Armed Forces took part in the parade. Military equipment, as well as cadets from the Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools, did not participate this year due to the “current operational situation.”
In addition to the Russian Armed Forces, North Korean military personnel also took part in the military parade.
During the parade, a video was shown depicting Russian soldiers carrying out combat missions in Ukraine. Military aviation also participated in the parade — Su-25 attack aircraft flew over Red Square.
