Within the framework of a large-scale screening campaign, another round of examinations was conducted in the Ambrolauri Municipality
At the initiative of the Ministry of Health and the National Center for Disease Control, with the support of the administration of the State Representative of the Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti region, as well as the Ambrolauri City Hall, another round of examinations was conducted in the Ambrolauri Municipality as part of a large-scale screening campaign. This was reported by the press service of the Georgian Ministry of Health.
Citizens received free breast and cervical examinations, as well as screening for non-communicable diseases, hepatitis B and C, and HIV infection. The examinations were carried out on-site by qualified medical personnel using modern methods and standards. The campaign was held with the support of the Ambrolauri Public Health Center.
Following the examinations, further diagnosis and treatment of identified cases are available within the framework of the state oncology program, which provides financial support for examinations and treatment. Monitoring of non-communicable diseases is available at the primary healthcare level. The state also fully finances the diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis B and C, as well as HIV infection, ensuring public access to necessary medical services.
As part of the campaign, screening activities have already been conducted in Adjara, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Guria, Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, and Kakheti. The campaign will gradually continue in other regions of the country and will cover almost the entire territory of Georgia through November 15, making a significant contribution to strengthening public health and improving the effectiveness of disease prevention.
