The Border Police detained two individuals on charges of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia
Officers of the Operational-Investigative Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the protected section of the “Vale” border sector of the Akhaltsikhe division, detained two individuals — U.S., born in 1994, and B.P., born in 1993 — on charges of illegally crossing the state border of Georgia. This was reported by the Border Police press service.
“The investigation established that, at different times, the accused bypassed the border checkpoint and illegally crossed the Georgia–Turkey state border, entering the territory of Georgia.
The investigation is being conducted under Part 1 of Article 344 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which предусматривает punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to five years,” the statement said.
