Rain, Thunderstorms and Landslide and Mudflow Processes — National Environment Agency Warns Georgia’s Population
The National Environment Agency has issued a warning about the weather expected in Georgia from August 29 to 31.
According to the National Environment Agency, intermittent rain is expected across most of Georgia from August 29 to 31, with heavy rainfall possible in some areas. Thunderstorms, hail and stronger winds are also possible.
“The expected heavy precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers, flash floods on small rivers, and the emergence or activation of landslide and mudflow processes in hilly and mountainous areas (hazard level — medium),” the National Environment Agency of Georgia said in a statement.
