Rain, Hail, Strong Winds and Landslide/Mudflow Processes — Georgia’s National Environmental Agency Warns the Public
Georgia’s National Environmental Agency has issued a warning regarding the weather conditions expected in Georgia on September 1–2.
According to the National Environmental Agency, rainy weather will persist across most of Georgia on September 1–2. Heavy rainfall is expected in some areas. Thunderstorms, hail, and strengthening winds are also possible.
“Expected heavy precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels in rivers and flooding of small rivers, while in hilly and mountainous areas it may cause the emergence and intensification of landslides and mudflows (moderate hazard level),” the National Environmental Agency of Georgia said in its statement.
