President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili awarded the Order of the Golden Fleece to Zhou Qian, former Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Georgia, for his personal contribution to deepening bilateral relations between Georgia and China and for his fruitful work.

As Zhou Qian is currently absent from Georgia, the state award was received at the Presidential Palace by Tai Chunyoung, Chargé d’Affaires of the People’s Republic of China.

The President of Georgia highlighted the significant development of relations between Georgia and China during Zhou Qian’s diplomatic mission.

Mikheil Kavelashvili emphasized the importance of further deepening relations with the People’s Republic of China and expressed hope that the strong foundation established in recent years would continue to contribute to strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
