The President of Georgia met with the President of Slovakia in Bratislava
President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met in Slovakia with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini. This was reported by the Administration of the President of Georgia.
During the one-on-one meeting held at the Slovak Presidential Palace, the sides discussed the successful cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia, as well as deepening the dialogue between the two countries.
The importance of intensifying the dynamics of bilateral visits and developing cooperation in various fields was particularly emphasized.
As the President of Georgia noted at the meeting, in an era of unprecedented global challenges and risks, it is especially important for Georgia to further strengthen bilateral cooperation with Slovakia and provide mutual support in international formats.
At the meeting, Mikheil Kavelashvili thanked his Slovak counterpart for supporting Georgia on its path toward European integration and for efforts to safeguard the Georgia–European Union partnership.
As the president noted, Georgia appreciates Slovakia’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Before the start of the meeting, the President of Georgia made an entry in the book of honorary guests.
Mikheil Kavelashvili is in the Slovak Republic on an official visit together with a delegation.
The Georgian delegation includes: Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Nikoloz Samkharadze, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Zurabashvili, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Slovak Republic Konstantin Kvachakidze, and representatives of the Administration of the President of Georgia.
