“The opposition was very displeased with Mamuka Mdinaradze’s return to politics, because they know very well what a significant figure he is, what he is capable of doing and organizing, what kind of analysis he can provide, and they also know that for the good of Georgia he will not back down from anything,” said Tengiz Sharmanashvili, First Deputy Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, in an interview with “Chronicle.”

According to him, the opposition’s reaction is one of political desperation, as they did not welcome the return of such a figure to politics.

“This is political desperation—they did not like the return of such a figure to politics,” Sharmanashvili noted.

Today, the parliament will approve amendments to the draft law “On the Structure, Powers, and Rules of Activity of the Government of Georgia,” after which Mamuka Mdinaradze will join the Cabinet of Ministers.
