Shalva Papuashvili Meets with Andrija Mandić

The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, met with the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić.

Shalva Papuashvili thanked his counterpart for the invitation to the summit of speakers of parliaments of member states and partners of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).

During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral relations between Georgia and Montenegro. It was noted that parliamentary relations are developing successfully and that parliamentary exchanges are being carried out.

Shalva Papuashvili congratulated Montenegro on the progress it has made on its path toward accession to the European Union, which involves the start of work on an accession agreement.

Andrija Mandić spoke about this process and expressed readiness to share Montenegro’s experience with Georgia.

The discussion also covered cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, of which Georgia is currently the chair country.
