Irakli Kobakhidze takes part in the 8th European Political Community Summit

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is participating in the 8th European Political Community (EPC) Summit.

The leaders attending the summit are being hosted in Yerevan by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

The head of government will address European leaders today during a roundtable discussion, the main topic of which is strengthening connectivity and economic security.

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the summit will also be used for bilateral meetings, and in his speech he will focus on Georgia’s special role for Europe in terms of connectivity.

“We connect seven countries to the Black Sea and, accordingly, to the West in economic and trade terms, and naturally, we will actively discuss this. Georgia has great importance for Europe in terms of connectivity,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

The head of government also attended the plenary session of the summit, which was opened by the Prime Minister of the host country, Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the European Council, António Costa.
