An OSCE Parliamentary Assembly delegation to visit Georgia on March 8–10
A high-level delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will visit Georgia on March 8–10, the Assembly’s press service reported.
According to the Assembly, the delegation will be led by its president, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro. The delegation also includes: Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Special Representative for the South Caucasus Luís Graça (Portugal); Vice-Chair of the Committee on Political Affairs and Security Evrosima Pejović (Montenegro); Vice-Chair of the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions Christine Blower (United Kingdom); and Secretary General of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Roberto Montella.
As noted in the statement, the visit will allow members of the Assembly to engage in discussions and exchange views with Georgian counterparts on recent political developments, as well as issues related to democracy, security, and regional stability.
“Parliamentarians will meet with a wide range of political actors and representatives of civil society to discuss the future cooperation between the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Georgia,” the statement said.
