The National Food Agency uncovered an illegal cheese production facility in Western Georgia
Inspectors from the Imereti regional department of the National Food Agency of Georgia identified violations at a cheese production facility operated by individual entrepreneur L. Ch. (address: Vani, near Galaktion Tabidze Street). This was reported by the National Food Agency of Georgia.
The business operator was producing cheese without mandatory official authorization and without registration in the economic activity registry.
In addition, the facility was found to be in violation of technological processes and consumer information requirements regarding food products.
The entrepreneur was fined, and the production activity of the facility was suspended.
The National Food Agency continues to detect illegal enterprises across the country and urges business operators not to produce goods without the required authorization and to operate strictly in accordance with legal requirements.
