The National Food Agency has uncovered illegal cheese production in Western Georgia

As a result of state inspections, inspectors from the Imereti Department of the National Food Agency of Georgia found that an individual, D. D. (address: Vani, village of Tsikhesulori), was producing cheese without the required authorization and without registration in the Economic Activities Register. This was reported by the National Food Agency of Georgia.

According to the agency, cheese produced in violation of technological procedures was found at the facility; it was sealed for later destruction.

The rules regarding providing consumers with information about food products were also violated.

Due to the identified non-compliance, the business operator was fined, and the production activities at the facility were suspended.

The National Food Agency calls on business operators not to produce goods without proper authorization and to comply with food safety requirements.
