The victim's mother stated that her son and the suspect attended the same school and had previously experienced verbal conflicts. Despite the suspect transferring to another school, he had ambushed the victim several times.

An investigation is underway under Article 117 of the Georgian Criminal Code, which refers to the intentional infliction of severe bodily harm. The crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years.
